About the Author:
Derek Landy is the darkly delightful brain behind the Skulduggery Pleasant series—a rollercoaster of magic, mayhem, and seriously cool skeleton detectives. Hailing from Ireland, Derek started out writing screenplays (with ninjas, naturally), but when he dreamed up a wise-cracking, fire-throwing, sharply dressed skeleton named Skulduggery... well, let’s just say the literary world exploded in the best way possible.
With razor-sharp dialogue, epic battles, and enough sarcasm to fill a haunted library, Derek’s books are beloved by fans who like their fantasy with a side of chaos and a LOT of clever twists. His stories balance heart-pounding action with hilarious banter and characters so cool, they practically leap off the page wearing sunglasses.
But don’t let the undead detective fool you—Derek’s also a softie at heart, known for writing complex friendships, emotional moments, and characters who stick with you long after the final chapter (even if they’re technically not alive).
If you love magic, monsters, and heroes with bite, Derek Landy is your guy. Just don’t challenge him to a duel. He has a skeleton army.
