Covet by J.R. Ward – A Dark Paranormal Romance of Desire, Redemption, and the Battle Between Good and Evil
From bestselling author J.R. Ward, creator of the beloved Black Dagger Brotherhood series, comes Covet, the gripping first novel in the Fallen Angels series. Blending paranormal romance, urban fantasy, and supernatural suspense, this captivating story explores temptation, redemption, and the eternal struggle between light and darkness.
Jim Heron has spent his life living by his own rules. A former special forces soldier with a troubled past, he never imagined he would become a key player in a war far bigger than himself. But when he is chosen to fight on behalf of humanity in a cosmic battle between good and evil, his fate is forever changed.
Tasked with influencing the destinies of seven souls whose choices will determine the future of mankind, Jim must navigate a world filled with angels, demons, and deadly temptations. His first mission centres on Vin diPietro, a wealthy businessman whose life is spiralling out of control, and Marie-Terese Boudreau, a woman willing to sacrifice everything for those she loves.
As passion, danger, and supernatural forces collide, Jim discovers that even angels can be tested by desire—and that redemption often comes at a price.
