About the Author:
Rick Riordan is the god of mythology-meets-modern-day adventure, best known for creating the wildly popular Percy Jackson & the Olympians series. With a pen as mighty as a celestial bronze sword, Rick introduced us to a whole new world where Greek gods have kids, monsters lurk in high schools, and quests are basically a teenager’s after-school activity.
A former middle school teacher with a passion for storytelling, Rick turned his son’s love of myths into a full-blown universe of heroes, humor, and heart. From Camp Half-Blood to the Egyptian magicians of The Kane Chronicles and the Norse antics in Magnus Chase, his books blend epic action with clever comedy and relatable characters.
He’s not just writing adventure stories—he’s building worlds where every reader can feel like a hero (or at least a sarcastic sidekick with a cool sword).
If you’re into fast-paced quests, hilarious one-liners, and a whole lot of mythological mayhem, Rick Riordan is the author who’ll keep you turning the pages faster than Hermes on a sugar rush.
Riordan masterfully blends Egyptian mythology with humor, heart, and non-stop action. The alternating perspectives of Carter and Sadie give the story a dynamic energy, allowing readers to connect with both characters on a deeper level. Their sibling banter is hilarious and relatable, and their personal growth throughout the novel adds an emotional depth to the adventure.
The book is filled with magical battles, unexpected twists, and a fantastic cast of supporting characters. The world-building is immersive, bringing ancient Egypt to life in a way that feels fresh and exciting. Whether you're a longtime fan of Riordan’s books or new to The Kane Chronicles, The Throne of Fire is a must-read that will leave you eagerly reaching for the next installment.
