Make a quilt in small manageable sections, with this practical guide to 14 inspiring and budget-friendly techniques & projects for anyone who wants to create simple quilts for family and friends. If you love to sew and quilt but don’t have a lot of time or space, Quilt As You Go method is a great option because you are working with one block at a time before putting a quilt together. The focus of this comprehensive and inspiring book is its 14 quilt-as-you-go techniques. Each technique is fully photographed step-by-step, and then ideas are given for transforming these completed, discrete blocks into full-size projects. All the templates required are included at full size. Quilting-as-you-go makes the quilting process simple and manageable and, for hand-sewn techniques, portable. If you are nervous about committing to a full-size quilt, or simply want to be able to take your work with you when you travel, this book will help you achieve remarkable results. Many people associate quilt-as-you-go with hand-stitched English paper piecing, but there are far more quilt-as-you-go techniques available to you, some of which work better by hand, others with machine stitching. Choose from 14 techniques here, including potholder quilts, stitch-and-flip, envelope quilts, lined circles and cathedral windows.
