About the Author:
Georgette Heyer is the original queen of Regency romance—the witty wordsmith who gave the genre its sparkle, sass, and swish of empire-line gowns. Long before Bridgerton was a twinkle in anyone’s eye, Heyer was delighting readers with dashing dukes, razor-sharp banter, and heroines who knew their minds (and how to outsmart a suitor or two).
With her impeccable historical detail, dry humor, and plots full of clever twists, Heyer practically invented the romantic comedy in a cravat. From ballroom intrigues to countryside capers, her novels are a delicious blend of Jane Austen charm and mystery-novel mischief—because yes, she also wrote a fair few whodunits!
If you adore sparkling dialogue, swoon-worthy slow burns, and a good scandal (with a happy ending, of course), Georgette Heyer is the timeless treasure your bookshelf needs.
I absolutely love all of Georgette Heyer's novels - each one is as lovely as the other! I'm so glad I bought the whole set, and I wish Readers Warehouse could get more!
